One of the cooler parts of this job is the clients that you see again and again, even before we get to their own wedding. David has both been in past wedding parties and guests at multiple of my weddings, and it was so wonderful to finally be able to celebrate his own. Kelly and David couldn’t be more perfect for each other — they make life together a grand adventure. Their wedding day was no exception.

We started the morning at Kelly’s childhood home amid some of the most beautiful wedding details and funniest humans. Kelly has the sweetest family with the funniest sisters, every person was so over the moon excited for the day and ready to help with anything they could. The morning was spent laughing while they got ready, under the magical hair and makeup wizardry of Magnolia Beauty Salon.

After Kelly was buttoned into one of the prettiest dresses I have ever seen (it was really a team effort), we took a few moments with her father before heading over to their ceremony. From the very second that those church doors opened, the grin never left David’s face. The depth of their love for each other was palpable inside that church, full of stolen glances and misty eyes during their vows. After a sweeping kiss and and dance back down the aisle, we made our way to Delaware Park for the wedding photos.

I wasn’t exaggerating about how sweet these two and their humans are; we had so much fun during their portraits. There was dancing, twirling in princess dress that would make anyone’s 6-year-old self proud, eyes-closed laughter, and a whole lot of soaking all the joy of the day in. It was so evident to every person who passed by how head over heels in love Kelly and David are.

That energy only grew from the moment we got to their reception. There were the loveliest of people, heartfelt toasts, a surprise dance showing off Dad’s best dance moves, and a party that kept going until the very last song. These two deserved the very best night, and oh boy did they get it. It could not have been a better wedding day for kinder people.
