If you have ever met Miranda and Nick, you know how sweet they are together. They are each other’s perfect balance; they just make sense. They first met in high school stage crew but did not start dating until college (there was a story about flowers and a resounding no; cue Nick’s reaction to the maid of honor speech). From dogs to multi-state moves and national parks, their life has been full of adventure ever since.
Miranda and Nick were all about moments and loving the people around them, so their day focused on doing exactly that. We started the quiet morning at Miranda’s childhood home surrounded by her favorite humans and the cutest trio of flower girls. After the final, elegant details were in place, and we took a moment with Miranda’s dad, we made our way over to her childhood church.
There was not a dry eye in the house as Miranda and Nick saw each other from opposite sides of the aisle; there could not have been a more perfect moment for two wonderful people. After sweet vows and rings, they danced their way back down the aisle (the “omg we are married” moment is one of my favorites of the whole day) and out to their portraits.
Those grins never dimmed for a second through the cherry blossoms, brilliant sun by Hoyt Lake, and the honks from onlookers at Lafayette Square. By the time they arrived at Asbury Hall, everyone was so excited and ready to party.
Amid equally senimental and funny toasts, beautiful formal dances (with the perfect amount of Ben Folds), they celebrated the night away with everyone they loved most dear. It was truly a day to remember and could not have been a more perfect representation of these two.
Miranda and Nick – Cheers you guys! It was nothing but a pleasure to work with you; thank you for being so warm and kind.
