Carey and Jen – Memorial Art Gallery Engagement Photography, Rochester NY

From our morning PJ’s skype session with appearances by our pups, I knew Carey and Jen were something special. They light up any room they walk into, and it was truly an honor to photograph them. They have the most infectious laughs, from the second they start you just have to follow along with them.

It was so important for their boxer, Tully, to be a part of their photographs, so we started at their perfect loft apartment. Tully is the future flower girl, master of RBF, doted upon pup that absolutely adores Carey and Jen. She had us all laughing with her full on wiggle butt dances of excitement.

From dates, to intricately posed photos, to proposals (seriously, they are the cutest), Memorial Art Gallery has played a huge role in Carey and Jen’s relationship. It only made sense to photograph them there. We laughed our way around the neighborhood they love.

Is it May yet? I cannot wait for their wedding.

  • As we enter into our last bit of time with Ellie, I’m so grateful to have been blessed with this little gremlin. We argue (and I lose) almost every day, she is my constant shadow that has no concept of personal space, and my favorite taste tester. She has been with us for our entire marriage, and has seen so many adventures along the way. I don’t know what I’m going to do not being woken up a dog staring at me .5 inches from my face every morning, or how I’m going to chop any vegetables without having to make a little snack board for her, but I’m grateful for every minute we’ve had with this weirdo dog. Emails and inquiries will be answered as usual, but I’ll be quieter on social media for a bit. Hug your furry ones a little tighter for us this week.

  • Even 100% dense cloud cover during the whole solar eclipse didn’t dim the joy of these two for even a minute. My cheeks still hurt from laughing the whole day celebrating Liz and Jesse, it was extraordinary.
