Chrissy and Jason – The Gallagher Wedding Photos, Medina NY

One of the cooler parts of this job is being able to document old friends at peace in their adult lives. Chrissy and I were lab partners freshman year, and she has always been a burst of sunshine. I remember her being so excited to join the Baja club at RIT, where she met the person that would become her partner for life. Seeing such a wonderful human find a partner that makes them feel so at home is pure joy.

We started the morning on site at The Gallagher (I’m just going to go ahead and move into that gorgeous house) where Chrissy was surrounded by her favorite people. There were gorgeous details, a killer playlist, the loveliest of humans and a travelling fan. Every one there was just so thrilled for Chrissy and Jason to be married. Before she walked down the aisle, we took some moments with Chrissy’s parents to soak in all the love that brought her to who she is today.

That energy only ramped up from there as Chrissy walked down the aisle and saw Jason for the first time that day (complete with puppy ring bearers). They were married by a dear friend, and there wasn’t a person there who wasn’t beaming with huge smiles. They exchanged heartfelt and funny vows, and sealed it all with a kiss and a “holy crap we are married” cheer.

All of that joy I talked about? It never dimmed for a second. After taking some time for beautiful portraits — seriously, how cute are these two– we dance our way into their gorgeous reception. Their family and friends worked so hard to make the barn exactly how Chrissy and Jason dreamed it would be, and oh boy was it perfect. There were sweet toasts, loving parent dances, and a few instances of people being iced. They danced the night away and it couldn’t have been a more perfect celebration for two kinder people.

Now I generally don’t stay for after parties, but Chrissy and Jason said they always throw bonfires and I was so in. However, when they said bonfire I assumed a normal sized bonfire that’s the size of a hyped up campfire. Oh boy was I wrong. We drove up to a fire that was larger than the two story house that was wider than a few trucks lined up. Talk about go big or go home, these two deserved every single moment of that excitement.
