Elizabeth and Shar – Hotel Henry Wedding Photos, Buffalo NY

I first met Elizabeth and Shar while they were guests at another wedding (Shar’s dancing is forever memorable), and I was so excited when they chose me to document their wedding day. They live life together as an adventure and bring joy to everyone around them. That laughter was perfectly carried into their wedding day.

Their wedding festivities started with a lovely Hindi ceremony to honor Shar’s family. They grinned, they were celebrated by their loved ones, and they kicked off their weekend with extraordinary joy.

On day two, we began the morning with a Hotel Henry corridor takeover. There was laughter, some stellar dance moves, and the loveliest of details for Elizabeth to wear. After a row of buttons, a break for wine, and a full-on sprint back to the room for a forgotten veil, it was time for Elizabeth and Shar’s civil ceremony.

There was a collective intake of breath when the doors opened to Elizabeth at the end of the aisle (we all saw that “I’m trying not to cry face” Shar). With their friends and family looking on, Elizabeth and Shar were married. There were heartfelt vows, letters to open on their anniversary, and the sweetest of first married kisses. And no, no Shars were hurt in the making of these photos.

A dance back down the aisle and a brief moment for portraits (in which they handled the cold like a champion), they danced right on into their reception. Amid cheers, dance performances, toasts that left me with sore abs from laughing, and a jam-packed dance floor, the whole room celebrated the heck out of Elizabeth and Shar. There could not have been a more perfect day for two marvelous people.
