Kailey and Travis – Pearl Street Grill Wedding Photography, Buffalo NY

Kailey and Travis are the kind of people that you meet once and feel like you know through-and-through. They are pure warmth and truly enjoy their lives together. Their wedding day was no exception, they lived in every single moment of it.

We started the morning at Kailey’s childhood home where she was surrounded by her dearest friends. Her sister and maid-of-honor, Ariana, helped Kailey into her stunningly soft wedding dress while their mother assisted with the finishing details. After a quick breath in, we made our way down to see Kailey’s father. If you don’t want to cry, I would advise skipping those photos. From the moment she came around the corner, you could see her whole life thus far flashing across his eyes, and they were able to take a moment together before the chaos of the day began.

The emotions during that first-look were only the start. As soon as Kailey rounded that corner into the church doorway, Travis was so thrilled to see his almost-wife. They alternated between beaming grins and tears throughout their lovely, heartfelt ceremony. After exchanging sweet vows –and almost dropping their unity candle –they smiled their ways back down the aisle to go and take a second together before the rest of the day unfolded.

Kailey and Travis wanted their portraits to feel like Buffalo, so we hit some of their favorite spots. They and their fantastic wedding party smiled their way through the very warm steps down to Hoyt Lake and were all-in when I stuck them in an alley by Pearl Street.

The laughter that started the day was just that — only the start. Their celebration only went up from there and did not end until the very last song. Kailey and Travis are deeply loved humans, and it was physically palpable to everyone within that room. Amid heartfelt toasts (including a letter from Kailey’s late godmother, yes we all cried),  an upbeat first dance as husband and wife and emotional parent dances, and one of the craziest dance floors I have ever seen, Kailey and Travis danced the night away.
