Kara and Graham – Becker Farms Wedding Photography, Gasport NY

Anyone that has ever encountered Kara and Graham can instantly tell they are the real deal. They have this indescribable thing that leaves not a single bit of doubt that they were genuinely meant for each other. From the moment that we sat down for coffee and talked excitedly about the IOU note that started their relationship (plus, Harry Potter. Harry Potter is always a win), I knew this wedding would be one for the books. And it truly was.

We started the morning at the Becker Farms Farmhouse where Kara was surrounded with her dearest friends. Amid eye-closed laughter and plenty of tears (from myself included), we got Kara ready for her wedding day. If you must know anything about Kara beyond her love for Graham, it’s that she has an extraordinary family. The love in that room was physically palpable; they were all so thrilled to see this day happen.

The morning was just the start of the tears; from the second I started to walk Graham over to see Kara for the first time the tears were already flowing. He was so thrilled to be marrying his best friend and the love of his life. The tears turned into beaming grins as we made our way around Becker Farms with their hysterical bridal party (there was a groomsmen butt photo that will remain off the internet and a visit from an overly enthusiastic goat).

The energy only went up from there, and their ceremony started off with equal parts belly-aching laughter and even more tears. Kara and Graham chose a dear friend for their officiant, and the ceremony was the perfect combination of sentimental, sweet and funny. It was a beautiful tribute to two spectacular humans.

After dancing their way down back down the aisle, they celebrated all the way into their reception. We cried at heartfelt parent toasts and laughed until we cried at speeches given by the bridal party. That energy moved out onto the dance floor where it never stopped all night.

Kara and Graham – You two are extraordinary, congratulations again on this next step in your lives together. Thank you for inviting us into your wedding day so wholly, and for being nothing but pure joy to photograph.
