Meg and Pat – The Columns Wedding Photography, Buffalo NY

Meg and Pat are the kind of people that leave you with sore abs from laughing so hard that you cried. They light up a room the moment that they walk in, and they enjoy every moment of their lives together (especially with their fur-child Oscar!). Their wedding day was the perfect celebration of two marvelous people just being super excited to get married.

We started the morning with Meg and her friends while they prepared with a killer hair and makeup team while dancing around to the best 2000’s playlist of songs we forgot existed. They spit out champagne laughing, they helped Meg with her immaculate wedding details, and they were overflowing with excitement for Meg and Pat. After getting Meg zipped into her goddess of a dress, we made our way over to her first look with Pat.

Their first look was equal parts tears and laughter, and it was an excellent way to kick off a spectacular afternoon. Amid great beer and even better people, we photographed around the Buffalo Riverworks before making our way over to the Key Bank Center. Meg and Pat are die-hard Sabres fans — Pat even has a hand-painted Sabres tooth (yes, his actual tooth) — so it was the perfect stop for their wedding day.

After laughing our way through portraits (and narrowly escaping more than a handful of bees), it was time for them to officially be married. They laughed, they cried, and they exchanged sweet vows while sealing it all with that first married kiss they had been waiting so long for. And the first person to celebrate with them? Their furry child Oscar.

Amid heartfelt toasts, national anthems sung by the singer for the Sabres, sweet formal dances, and stellar dance moves, we celebrated two fantastic people and this new step of their lives together.
