Alli and Gus – A Quirky, Romantic Handsome Hollow Wedding, Long Eddy NY

Oh Alli and Gus, what a magical weekend. I first met these two at their friend Fiona’s wedding back in 2017, and even then you could immediately see how special these two are. They are two sides of the same coin, and when you see them, you cannot imagine them with anyone else. They are at home with each other and make everyone around them feel the same way. Their wedding day was the perfect celebration of two magnificent humans (plus, it had Hamilton and plenty of cheese).

The cabin at Handsome Hollow was abuzz with excitement the morning of their wedding; there was an infectious energy in the whole place. They danced their way through hair and makeup (with plenty of cheese, you’ll see a reoccurring theme here) and right into the finishing touches for Alli and Gus; glittery sneakers and the perfect tie. Throughout the whole day, Alli and Gus took moments to soak it all in. It’s so easy to get swept away in the excitement; from Alli’s deep breath before the ceremony to their night portraits, they were determined to remain present in their day.

There were equal parts joy and tears as Alli, and her beloved Mom walked down the aisle (to Hamilton!!!). Every person watching could clearly see the love between these two, and how thrilled they are to spend the rest of their lives together. They exchanged heartfelt vows and listened to the wise advice of their officiant. Amid bubbles and cheers, they grinned their way back down the aisle and into the loft to take a moment to themselves (plus me, duh).

After deep breaths and twirls that would make our five-year-old selves proud, we made our way out for their portraits. Even the rain and the swarms of bugs (I ate no less than 10) could not dim anyone’s grins. We laughed our way around the stunning Handsome Hollow property and danced all the way back to their reception

Their celebration was no different than the rest of their wedding day – pure joy. They danced, they toasted, they ate cheese, they danced some more. There were twisting Grandmas, grand dips by friends, and sweet stolen moments by Alli and Gus. These two are something else; they are perfect for each other.

Alli and Gus – Thank you so much for bringing me all the way out to Hudson, and for living in every moment of your wedding day. It was a true honor and so much fun. To the groom, to the groom, to the groom, to the groom. To the bride, to the bride, to the bride, to the bride!!
