Emily and Andy were one of the many wonderful weddings that had to postpone last year, but oh boy was the wait worth it. These two are all sweetness and warmth and their day was no exception. It couldn’t have been a lovelier day with kinder people.
We spent the morning in the Lodge at Shadow Hill with Emily and her very favorite people. There were magnificent details, tons of laughter, and a magical floral hair design. After channeling her inner Rapunzel, Emily made her way over to Andy for their first look.
I wasn’t exaggerating about these two being sweet, after taking a moment together Emily and Andy exchanged intimate, private vows with only the trees (and me, obviously) watching. It’s officially my new favorite modern wedding tradition. Those smiles never dropped from their faces as we made our way through the portrait part of their day.
After a twirl in the woods, we made our way down their aisle of collected rugs for Emily and Andy’s gorgeous ceremony. There were lovely vows, personal touches with a bridesmaid officiating, stunningly delicate rings to exchange, and a sweeping kiss to seal it all.
The joy they felt all morning only escalated from there as we entered their reception. We danced, ate arguably the freshest donuts I have ever seen, and celebrated the marvelous people that Emily and Andy are. It was the perfect day.
Cheers you two! You are the very best!
